The real cost of homeownership

Your mortgage isn’t the whole story.

Buying a home comes with a lot of numbers. Your mortgage might be the biggest one, but then there’s strata, council rates, water, insurance, electricity, internet, maintenance, special levies and everything else that comes with keeping a home running. HOLD helps bring those costs together.

Why HOLD was built

Built because I needed it too.

When I became a homeowner, I realised that knowing my mortgage repayment wasn’t the same as knowing what my home actually cost me. There was strata every quarter, council rates, water, insurance, utilities and special levies, all arriving at different times.

I wanted one simple answer: how much does my home actually cost me? I couldn’t find anything that gave me that without turning it into another spreadsheet, so I built HOLD.

And because an app built to help you save money shouldn’t become another expense, HOLD is free.

HOLD is deliberately designed to be simple. You don’t need to understand complicated financial terminology. You don’t need to build a budget with dozens of categories. And you don’t need to spend every Sunday updating a spreadsheet.

HOLD turns the messy reality of homeownership into information you can actually understand.

Security & privacy

Your home. Your finances. Your information.

We know the information you add to HOLD is personal. That’s why HOLD is built with privacy and security in mind, with safeguards designed to protect your information while giving you control over the data you choose to add.

HOLD only asks for information needed to provide the features you use.

Private by design. Simple by design.
